adidas Originals x Jeremy Scott “Pink Teddy Bear” Preview

Wednesday, September 1st, 2010

Fashion designer Jeremy Scott is responsible for creating some of the wildest adidas sneakers we’ve ever seen. From shoes with wing’s to those which have triple tongues and enlarged tongues, Jeremy’s out-of-the-box style is unlike anything else in the footwear industry. His designs have defiantly pushed the envelope, but none have been quite as bizarre as his latest development. The cover of SneakerFreaker’s 19th Issue, which goes on sale September 8th and is available for pre-order now, displays a clear shot of one of Jeremy’s most recent creations in his on-going adidas Originals by Originals Collection, a fluffy sneaker which will quickly become known as the Pink Teddy Bear.

Details on a release can’t be confirmed at this time, but we do know that they won’t be arriving until sometime during the Spring of 2011. Further information will follow as it becomes available.

Jeremy Scott x adidas Originals “Teddy Bear” – Closer Look

Wednesday, September 1st, 2010

After catching a look at the sneakers on the cover of Sneaker Freaker’s 19th issue, we’ve now got a closer look at Jeremy Scott’s “Teddy Bear” sneakers. As part of his on-going adidas Originals by Originals Collection, Jeremy Scott looked to The Snuggle Bear, mascot of the Snuggle brand which makes fabric softeners, to help him create one of his most unusual sneaker thus far. And that says a lot considering this is the same guy who’s designed sneakers with three separate tongues. The plush sneakers, built on the frame of the adidas Metro Attitude and shown here in a women’s version of Pink/White, feature a fuzzy base with Snuggle’s head acting as a tongue and his arms seen extending out from the sides. Although not shown at this time, there’s word on a men’s version of the adidas Originals x Jeremy Scott “Teddy Bear” as well. And don’t worry guys, it won’t be in a girly Pink. The men’s version consists of a tan base similar to the color used for The Snuggle Bear.

Follow the jump to check out a few more pictures of the sneakers and watch for them to release next year during the Spring of 2011. Via: SneakerFreaker

Not to be confused with the City Pack’s they designed in collaboration with UK retailer size?, adidas Originals brings back their vintage City Series for another go. Starting with the London Series and two original colorways in Black/Red and Blue/Green known as the “Bern” & “Brussels”, the sneakers appear exactly the same with premium suede uppers, leather detailing on the three-stripes, midfoot, and heel, and sticky gum outsoles. London is also seen printed alongside the three-stripes in Gold foil.

Both are available now through the No. 6 store in London and seen in further detail after the jump, thanks to photos provided by Hypebeast.

adidas adiZero Rose White/ Black-Red

Tuesday, August 31st, 2010

Last week we had a preview of D. Rose’s first signature sneaker by adidas in a traditional black/red Chicago colorway

Today we have a good look at the white/black –red version. The upper features perforated leather with red accents sitting atop a black outsole. A built in ankle support system and adjustable strap for stability is complimented with a heel cup for additional ankle support. The most intriguing aspect is on the heel, it states these were “Designed for indoor use only”. Since most players do not have ample access to indoor courts this may limit your playing possibilities unless an outdoor version is produced.

Let us know how you feel about this version of the adiZero Rose and what you think about its indoor use only feature.

adidas Beast Bright Blue/White

Tuesday, August 31st, 2010

During the last NBA season we saw Dwight Howard lace-up a number of adidas TS Supernatural Commanders, including one designed especially for the NBA All-Star Game. Now we’re able to show you the next progression of the aforementioned basketball silhouette. Pictured here is the adidas Beast in a bright blue and white colorway that Dwight Howard will be lacing-up this upcoming season. The name of this sneaker is also one of the big man’s nicknames, which also appears embossed on the tongue. Furthermore, Dwight’s favorite Twitter salutation of “Hey Woooorld” can be read on the heel, while the PureMotion outsole is designed to help the NBA big men be nimble while the high-top cut provides ankle support. This sneaker will drop some time in December- any one out there eager to give these a go?
